The Client	An owner of a new startup BBQ sauce company.
The Problem	The owner of the BBQ sauce company had little insurance experience and did not know what coverages were required for a food company. Moreover, the owner was not doing the manufacturing of the food, and it was difficult for him to anticipate sales.
The Solution	Elkins Jones educated the client on the proper coverages: a producer of food will have products liability risk and possibly risk of spoilage among other concerns. Elkins Jones, working with experienced carriers, was able to present several different coverage options. The key for the client was that the general liability premium was to be auditable. While he started out at the minimum premium, the policy provided him with substantial room to grow.
The Result	The startup continues to grow, and the insurance coverage grows with it.
